BARRY S. JACOBSON is an attorney admitted to practice in all the courts and administrative tribunals in New York, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia, as well as all Federal courts. After practicing privately and concentrating in criminal and family law, Mr. Jacobson entered public service as a New York City Assistant Corporation Counsel and began by prosecuting juvenile defendants and support matters in Family Court. He moved on to the prosecution of adult misdemeanor and felonies as an Assistant District Attorney concentrating in white collar crimes and DWI/DUI. As Associate Counsel to the New York State Department of Health Office of Professional Medical Conduct, he prosecuted doctors and other medical professionals charged with ethical and disciplinary violations. He spent 7 years as an Administrative Law Judge for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Traffic Violations Bureau in numerous venues and 4 years as a Senior Administrative Law Judge for the New York City Parking Violations Bureau. Since re-entering private practice in 1992, he has concentrated in the defense of all manner of traffic and moving violations, parking violations, trucking and commercial driver issues, drunk driving and other criminal violations relating to motor vehicles, general criminal law, and all other motor vehicle related licensing and regulatory matters in all the courts and administrative tribunals in which he practices. An extremely active trial lawyer who also handles the defense of medical and other professionals charged with disciplinary violations and securities professionals charged with violations by the NASD, Mr. Jacobson still finds time to handle or supervise each case personally and counsel each client directly.

Mr. Jacobson has been consistently recognized as an expert and leader in his field, achieving amongst other honors, President of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle Administrative Law Judges Association, Chairman of the Brooklyn Bar Association Criminal Court and Administrative Law Committees, Trustee of the Brooklyn Bar Association, member of the American Bar Association and the American Judges Association Traffic Court Committees, and numerous other leadership roles. He has and continues to serve as an Arbitrator for the New York City and Small Claims Courts, the Nassau County District Court, Nassau County Small Claims Assessment Review Judge, American Arbitration Association, National Association of Securities Dealers, special master, arbitrator, referee, for the New York State Supreme Court, and is frequently chosen to judge private disputes by designation of the involved parties. He stays abreast and current of the latest changes in the related technology and laws through Continuing Legal Education and technical training. In over 25 years of practice, Mr. Jacobson has tried or otherwise appeared in thousands of cases in all the courts and administrative tribunals in the jurisdictions in which he practices. Our associate attorneys and support staff are all experienced traffic court and related tribunal practitioners. Most associates also have double digit years of experience under their belts and support staff are trained professionals who can answer many questions on the spot and treat all clients requests and inquiries with efficiency and respect.
